The JoJo septic/conservancy tanks are manufactured from the same polyethylene as our other tanks and are both UV and chemical resistant. They are easy to handle, easy to install and easy to clean. The structure design is sturdy enough to endure being pumped out by municipal “honey-suckers”. Some pit toilets are used with a JoJo heavy duty conservancy tank for permanence. In this structure, the pit (conservancy tank) is periodically emptied, usually by a pump mounted on a large truck which also carries a tank for storage. The waste is transported to a sewage treatment facility or is composted elsewhere. Licensed waste hauling companies provide this service in areas where required. It is important to follow the installation and operations guideline supplied with each tank. Please note that the lid needs to be filled with concrete prior to use. Tank specifications:
