Urban South Africans no longer have to imagine waterless scenarios as they increasingly find out what it’s like to have a day (or two or three!) without water. The JoJo septic/conservancy tanks are manufactured from the same polyethylene as our other tanks and are both UV and chemical resistant. They are easy to handle, easy to install and easy to clean. The structure design is sturdy enough to endure being pumped out by municipal “honey-suckers”.
Some pit toilets are used with a JoJo heavy duty conservancy tank for permanence. In this structure, the pit (conservancy tank) is periodically emptied, usually by a pump mounted on a large truck which also carries a tank for storage. The waste is transported to a sewage treatment facility or is composted elsewhere. Licensed waste hauling companies provide this service in areas where required.
It is important to follow the installation and operations guideline supplied with each tank. Please note that the lid needs to be filled with concrete prior to use.

Your current web browser must be updated to version 7 of Internet Explorer (IE7) to take advantage of all of template's capabilities.
Why should I upgrade to Internet Explorer 7? Microsoft has redesigned Internet Explorer from the ground up, with better security, new capabilities, and a whole new interface. Many changes resulted from the feedback of millions of users who tested prerelease versions of the new browser.
The most compelling reason to upgrade is the improved security. The Internet of today is not the Internet of five years ago. There are dangers that simply didn't exist back in 2001, when Internet Explorer 6 was released to the world. Internet Explorer 7 makes surfing the web fundamentally safer by offering greater protection against viruses, spyware, and other online risks.
